Application(s): used 2 servos 5010 in ailerons for .40 size plane

Comments: aileron froze first time with 4.8 volt worked for 2 months with receiver D8rplus 2nd crash 6.0volts the only servos to fail were the hextronik 5010 my futaba s148 still work with no problems

Application(s): Boomerang elevator, rudder and throttle use with an orange receiver. What power will I need? I'm running with a Zippy 6.6v 700mAH battery, is this OK?

Comments: Rating 4 only because they jitter a bit.

Application(s): Have been using the hx5010 for the last year in a 1400mm aerobatic sukhoi31 with a .53 2stroke nitro. These are my aileron servos in wing. One per side. Have them on a lipo set up running a bec at 5v. Works very well. Fast response and great power. Have never had any issues to date as much as ive flown the hell out of the plane. Yes they are a little noisy signal wise as they hold center but for the price and what they deliver per unit im happy to hear them working on the ground. Never hear them in the air. But almost 115db@ 2m will cover that.

Comments: 4 out of 5 for all aspects apart from noise.

Comments: Been using these for years and years. I have never had a problem with them. Highly recommended.

    Application(s): Biped robot actuators

Comments: until now these servos have shown no noticeable problems.
I have already built a biped and it worked fine. Now I am working on a heavier model(approx 1kg) with 10 DOF and the servos actuate the joints via linkages for more torque.

Application(s): Engine control on super sports with .46 engine

Comments: This one quit at ful throdle and I had to waite for plane to run out fuel. What might cause it to melt a small hole in the bottom of the servo? I have two other 5010 in the plane and woundering if they may do the same thing. Thanks for your help Charles Parker

Application(s): Modeltech Formula 3D 60 With an O.S. .91 FX One of these servos for Pull-pull rudder. One in ea. side of wing for aileron. two for elevator. and one for throttle. Have been using for 2 flying seasons with no issues. Will agree that they are noisy but are fast and have more than enough torque for this plane. I use 6V. nimh and use the stock servo arms.

Comments: I put this plane together over two years ago and my budget for the sport was tight so I looked for ways to stretch my money. I bought 6 servos for $42.00 and intended to upgrade to a better servo in the future. I originally set the servos up with the clevis close in on the servo and out far on the control horn, as I didn't want to overwork the gears in the cheap servos. Over the coarse of a year I moved the linkage out on the servos and in on the horn. This made the oversized control surfaces deflect fast and far. The servos have held up even under this stress. I put these servos to the extreme test on this 3d plane & I wont purchase any different servos as these are all this plane needs. Anything better would be overkill and a waste of my money. This is my every day, go to plane and I would recommend this plane and the setup to anybody.

Application(s): All servos on my sig 4* 40

Comments: the servo is a little noisy and I found it had trouble centering at 4.8 It also chattered pretty bad also. I changed over to a 6.0 rec pack and all the problems were solved. I only have 3 flights on these servos and love them. I should add that I am using an AR6200 (some have said that this is why I had to go to the larger pack )

for the price you can't beat em
